FIRE ALARM INSTRUCTIONS
Important Safety Information Sailing Club Fire Alarm and Activation
If you are a club member, duty bar or help with functions, committee member or involved in any way with groups at the club house please read and see short video links below
The fire control unit is located in the cloakroom at the entrance of the club room
Instructions are written on the panel and in the fire folder next to the unit
Red key for control unit and black forked keys to reset call points are on a string on coat rail next to unit
Do not turn off the red fire power unit above the one that says do not turn off
Evacuate building, duty staff group leaders to check for fire and call fire brigade if required, check toilets changing rooms bosun store etc.
If no fire, silence alarm as video
Check call points for yellow activation indicator and reset as video
Smoke detectors will show an activation light
Reset panel as video
If you are unable to reset the alarm to normal any party / function should be halted as there will be no fire alarm warning in place
The call point units are fitted with plastic covers and therefore physically have to be lifted to activate the alarm unless there is a malfunction this is a deliberate action

Entrance lobby-entrance clubroom
Balcony fire exit-beer
Cellar door- cellar fire exit
Smoke and heat detectors are in every room but not in toilets, any activation and test must be logged and reported in the fire book file
In the event of power failure emergency lighting will switch on
